Take a look at our most recent project: SPEAK LOW.

SPEAK LOW was an original collage of poetry, music and letters about love in all its forms, from first kiss to final embrace.  Eloquent and whimsical, lyrical and dramatic, in works by authors ranging from William Shakespeare to Olivia Rodrigo, it chronicles love’s joys, wonders, secrets and sorrows.

SPEAK LOW was the debut offering from First Lamb Productions in partnership with the Los Angeles Valley College Department of Theatre and Dance.
Liz Asturias Argueta was the Production Stage Manager; Dawn Halloran was the Music Director; Stephanie Morales, Lighting Designer; Samantha Jo Jaffray, costume designer; Christopher Coddington, director.

Works included are by Edna St. Vincent Millay, Christina Rossetti, Amy Lowell, Emily Dickinson, Robert Burns, Andrew Marvell, Sara Teasdale, Alice Meynell, Charlotte Mew, Otomo No Yakamochi, Izumu Shibuku, Rupert Brooke, Stephen Crane, Robert Browning, John Dryden, Rumi, Margaret B. McGee, Lady Catherine Dyer, John Masefield, Edgar Allan Poe, William Yeats, Arthur Symons, and William Shakespeare.

Love, past, present and future. Love at first sight, love that is blind. Love as obsession, love unrequited, love remembered, love forgot. Love that fades, love that endures, love that plagues, love that cures. Love for now, love forever. Love that speaks of seduction, of jealousy, of painful separation, of blissful reunion, of inconsolable loss, of final comfort, and of hope and rebirth. Love is love is love is love is love is love is love.

With songs by Glen Hansard, Olivia Rodrigo, the Grateful Dead, the Jefferson Airplane, Kurt Weill, the Lovin’ Spoonful, OutKast, Bob Dylan, Sarah Harmer, Death Cab for Cutie, and Delaney Bailey.
